Praise be to Batman that Avatar didn’t win Best Picture.
ANYTHING ELSE could’ve happened and i would’ve been fine, just so long as Avatar didn’t win Best Picture.
Also, Sandra Bullock kicks ass.
that is all!

Do you like crappy movies? Sure. We all do. However the biggest problem with shitty movies is that in order to enjoy them, you have to actually sit through them for an hour and a half or longer. With that in mind, Bill Manning (of Bildango.com) and I, decided that we would take some time out of our very busy schedules, and make a new podcast called “Ryan and Bill Love Shitty Movies.” Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Find a shitty movie that neither of us have seen and that we can both watch (hopefully for free) on the internet.
Step 2: Look up details regarding the movie and discuss our general expectations before the movie begins.
Step 3: Watch the Movie. We also invite our listeners to take some time out and watch the movie as well, though that is not necessary.
Step 4: Reconvene after the movie ends and talk about what we’ve seen. We discuss the cast, directing choices, plot (holes), and writing. Typically we provide an overall synopsis of the film and come to a final conclusion as to whether or not it is worth it to check it out. Spoilers abound, but these movies are so terrible that we don’t think it will make that much of a difference.
The podcast content is the joining of recorded audio of steps 2 and 4, providing a whole new crappy movie experience. After all, some movies are so bad that it’s much more entertaining to have people tell you about them than it is to actually watch them.
For the first installment we decided to hit up Hulu.com, a site that is foaming at the brim with really terrible movies, and chose the 1990 film version of “Captain America.” You can listen here:

In my opinion, this was a very successful first attempt. We’re still working out the kinks and playing around with some other ideas. As we hit our stride, expect better and better performances and worse, so much worse, movies.
I hope you enjoy and I would love to hear some feedback from anyone who might care to give it.
Poorcraft is a new book from Spike of Templar and Diana Nock of Jinxville
Poorcraft is basically an illustrated guide to recession-proof living.
it has tips on just about anything you’d need to know to live on a crazy-small budget.
the reason i’m bringing this up is because Poorcraft needs YOUR help.
both of these ladies are extremely talented and are doing this to try and help the community.
they need to raise $6000 to cover printing costs, and so that Spike can pay Diana for the illustrations.
all it takes is a minimum of $1.
just one dollar. you probably have more than that sitting in the cushion of your couch.
please donate to this wonderful project, and these awesome people.
just recently, i was able to get Jose, Erik, and special guest Pyro together to do another episode of the Moviehaus Podcast.
so, without further ado, here it is for your amusement/horror.
oh, and about 20 minutes in, we discuss the first 10 minutes of Ghost Ship, the remake being one of the best kill sequences in all of horror movie history. the rest of this movie is shit, but this is amazing.

last night, i tried to use Talkshoe to record a podcast.
after realizing that it is shit, and that i hate it, i found a program which allows me to record Skype calls.
that is what i then used to create the first of what i hope to be many Moviehaus Podcasts.[podcast]http://moviehauscomic.com/podcast/2009-05-16.mp3[/podcast]
i wanted to say once more, thank you to everyone who came out for the stream.
in case you couldn’t make it, here’s the broadcast in its entirety.
In case you guys missed this when i streamed it, this is the story of why a am creating an all new cast for Moviehaus Video.
So, I’ve been replaying Kingdom Hearts recently, and i have come across this situation entirely too damned often for my own sanity. Basically what happens is Donald and Goofy keep volleying potions back and forth to one another, thereby exhausting my hard-earned supplies.
What they don’t seem to get is that their own lives are expendable. If they die, who care? They auto-ressurect themselves roughtly 20 seconds later with half health. If, by contrast, Sora bites it, Game Over. This very situation has pissed me off to no end.
What’s worse is the fact that since they keep running out of potions, and Donald out of MP, i have to make sure that i have at least 1 MP at all times in which to heal myself with. This is excruciating during the Colliseum Tourneys when i’m fighting the Red Nocturns and Blue Rhapsodies during several of the tiers, as i can’t just blast the crap out of them with ice and fire magic respectively.
Why do I still like this damned game?
so, i’m gonna just leave this here.
I am very excited about this, as implied by my previous bolded and italicized “very”.
Ok, everyone, really quick.
i just added a new section, called “Extras” in it, you’ll find any bonus content i’ve put up for the hell of it.
so far, all you’ll find there is a new Desktop background which references the storyarc “Man Up.”
check it out here.
So, everyday i go in and i check my Google Analytics page to check traffic, how my ads are doing, and all that. The fun part of Google Analytics is the fact that it makes up that handy-dandy map i posted previously, which by the time i posted it was already out of date.
I may just be a total nerd about this, but i enjoy seeing where the traffic is coming from. that said, i decided to add one of those ClustrMap maps to the sidebar. The only downside is that it doesn’t sync with adsense, so alot of my 1 view countries will not be displayed on the ClustrMap, but will still be in Analytics.
Whether you guys are visiting one time, or 100 times, i thank you all the time.
comic will be up late tonight, as we had my grandmother over for lunch and i didn’t have time to do it before work.
look for a new Moviehaus tonight around 2am EST, plus i’ll throw in a new Desktop Wallpaper as thanks.
